Daffodil Parade

I went to the Daffodil Parade in Puyallup yesterday. It was perfect weather and perfect to be with my son and his family and my daughter Alissa. The parade brought back SO MANY memories. I grew up with this parade and marched in it in the Orting High School band for 6 years! (It was a small school....we got to be in the HS band starting in 7th grade!!) This parade travels through 4 communities during the course of the day. It starts in Tacoma then goes to Puyallup, Sumner and Orting. Cor and Mel live in a PERFECT place....we just walked a few blocks to a great viewing area at the beginning of the parade. The parade actually ENDED just one block from their house. It was a great day!! Here are LOTS of pictures because it just brought back too many good memories!

Easter with Kids!

I spent the weekend with my son and his family in Puyallup. It was nice to attend a lovely Easter service at their new church. Melody's family included me in their Easter celebration. And what fun to be with little ones on Easter. A very good weekend indeed!!

Cruising Alaska

I am going on an Alaska Cruise in June. It is the 14 day "Alaska Adventure" on Holland America's ship Amsterdam!
I have a good friend, Jeré, that I was hoping to introduce to cruising. Guess what....she said YES.....so we are booked for this trip. I have been on an Alaska cruise before but it only went as far north as Juneau. This one is 2 weeks and goes all the way to Anchorage. I chose the cruise for the itinerary.....and again it is on the Amsterdam. Good thing I really love this ship!!!

Grandkids for the Weekend!!

I had a great weekend.....if a little tiring! I had Elliott and Norah overnight...Saturday and Sunday. They were very good and we had lots of fun. Here are an assortment of pictures from the weekend! I am resting up this week!!

Book Finished

I have been working for DAYS...WEEKS.....many many hours a day on a book of my trip. I wanted to publish a coffee table type photo book as a memory of my dream trip. I finally finished and uploaded it to BLURB last Friday. It has 278 pages and includes 1,111 photos. I am so excited to see the finished product.....and my Fed Ex tracking number says that it is now in Port Orchard scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Elliott & Corbin

Yesterday was Elliott's 4th birthday. There was a big party which Papa Corbin (who also has a January birthday) shared with Elliott. Corbin turned 33. How can both of my boys be this old.....I find that totally amazing!!

Corbin opening his digeridoo which I bought for him in Australia. Everyone had to try playing it....there were some very interesting sounds.

Elliott was thrilled to have everyone singing Happy Birthday to him! He sat there smiling and enjoying his moment!
