Almost Halloween

I sent the Jack-O-Lantern home with the kids so they could enjoy it....then I didn't have one for ME to enjoy. I fixed THAT!!

Jack-O-Lantern

I bought a pumpkin so that when the kids were here they could make their FIRST JACK-O-LANTERN. I just KNEW their Papa would really get into it too!! Here is the pumkpin carving series.

Norah on the Slide

Norah was amazingly brave on the slide at our playground. She learned how to make herself "GO" all by herself. Here is a little video showing how she just kind of stiffened her body to make her go down. Papa was quick on the catch at the safety guard!'

Wonderful Weekend

I had a GREAT weekend. Corbin and Melody and Elliott and Norah came for the weekend. Corbin did some chores for me.....but we also had time to play.

We went to a "Fiddler's Jam".....a monthly thing at a local community center. We didn't get to hear much 'jamming'.....but a nice man, "Mister Bill", gave Elliott a little guitar lesson.



We had time to go to the playground here in Lakeland Village.....it was a nice fall day.

And then of course.....there is always the fun bathtime.

Wedding Fun

I attended a wedding last weekend. It was the son of my friend Kathy and we have been freinds since we were 4 years old! That is a VERY long time!

At the wedding they had one of those little photo booths. Then you could use some of the photos to make a page in a memory book for them. It was a lot of fun. Here is a sheet of some of my photos.

So I thought I found a perfect time for a group shot of me with my grandchildren. It was morning and we were sitting cozily on my bed.......all fresh and rested. "Corbin", I said, "this is perfect. Come and grab a nice shot of me with these lovely young children!" This is what he got.

Pictures Together

I have found it is quite difficult to get a good picture of myself with BOTH of my grandchildren. For some reason they are "squirmy" and not interested in posing! Here are a couple of pretty good ones...........I will post the less successful attempts later!

I made this little bracelet for Norah for her 1st birthday. It was a little difficult getting a picture of it on her wrist.......she seemed to think it was a teething ring!!
