Great Visit in Puyallup

I went to Puyallup to visit with Corbin, Melody, Elliott and Norah. I was there from Thursday through Saturday......and the days were filled with fun activities that really gave me a flavor of the community they have moved into. Everything we did was just a nice walking distance from their home. This place is SO perfect for them.

I had been to Seattle during Seafair and picked up some pirate stuff for the kids. They loved playing pirates.
Thursday evening we walked to Pioneer Park for a free evening concert. Grandma took treats of course. Both kids loved dancing to the music.


Friday morning we walked to the library for story hour and spent some time playing at the playground and having snacks.

Saturday morning we packed the kids into this cute wagon I had found at our Lakeland Village garage sale and were off to the Farmer's Market....also held at Pioneer Park.

The library was having a "Sidewalk Art" event so we participated in that also.


What a wonderful visit...........and I loved experiencing the things this little family does most every week now.

Summer Days

Practicing that "Hang Loose" sign for tropical days to come!!
Spending my days trying to stay cool and have fun with friends!! Floating, exploring, playing, clogging.......what a wonderful summer!!

Spent a day driving up the south shore of Hood Canal with my friend Jeanne.....ended up at the 7 Cedars Casino in Sequim for a bit.....even came out $9.50 ahead!

What a gorgeous day riding around in Jeanne's cute little Miata!!

The annual summer clogging picnic at Twanoh Falls on Hood Canal is always great fun. We danced for HOURS.......and it was HOT!!

What could be better??

I got to spend a lot of time with my grandchildren last weekend. Of COURSE their parents left on a date............so we just played and played and I did all those fun Grandma things!!

Summer Nature

Norah

When I took Elliott home I spent some time with Norah. HAVE to get some pics of her on here too. She is getting pretty darn cute!

3 Days with Elliott at MY house!!

I took care of Elliott for 3 days so his Mama and Papa could have a little vacation. He was SOOOO good and we had a great time. Here is a picture journey of our days together!!! I think you can tell he was a happy camper here!



We made a card and wrapped up a book called "Daddy's Little Boy" as a father's day present for Papa. I took Elliott home on Father's Day and he gave it to him then.

At 3:00 in the morning Elliott crawled into bed with me without saying a word and went back to sleep. (I didn't sleep much cuz he like to be touching you while he sleeps) I had to sneak out to get my camera though....he looked so cute!

Nice Weather for Biking

I bought this really nice bicycle several years ago when Cory lived on the Burke Gilman trail. He and I rode bikes ONCE before he moved. Harumph....imagine moving when I had a bike and everything!! Then the bike sat in my garage for years....last summer I rode it once and discovered Lakeland Village had HILLS!!
I am determined to ride my bike this summer and conquer those hills. I have been out 5 times.....and already the hills are getting smaller!!
