Red Hat Lunch

We had a small group but a fun time at a Red Hat Valentine Lunch yesterday. One of these photos is a normal group shot.....the other one is an attempt at a panorama shot......I had to ask a lady to take the pic so I could be in it which also meant I had to try to teach her HOW to do it......she ALMOST got it....I am HALF there!

Map of Cruise

This is an interactive Google map that shows where my cruise will go.  A fellow cruiser has labeled the stops.  It it pretty fun to look at (at least for me) because you can really zoom into the various ports by using the + and – and the arrows.

New Camera Olympus Stylus SW 1050

I finally decided on the camera model I wanted for my trip.......I got the Olympus Stylus SW 1050 and it arrived this week. It only has a 90 day warranty so I had to find some water warm enough to try it out in........no way was I going into the lake in January....but I have sinks and a bathtub!!

This is a practice shot of a boat with the waterline halfway up the camera......I will need to be taking lots of boat shots after all!!

Here is my cruise ship...........waiting for me..............HEY! It's only 8 months away now!

I went snorkeling in the kitchen sink.....and behold.....a Humuhumunukunukuapua'a!! The camera was all the way under the water in this shot!

Had to play in the bathtub too......just to prove I could be playing in the water and not be nervous about the camera. The shutter was pretty fast to catch the water coming out of the faucet this way.

The camera has a pretty slick landscape mode too and you can choose to have the shots stitched together right inside the camera. This is standing in front of my house.

The macro settings are pretty amazing. I was just sitting there playing with them and took this shot of my leg..............I was wearing green sweat pants.

Look at my 2 wonderful, handsome boys celebrating their birthdays together. It amazes me that one is 3 years old and the other is more than 3 DECADES old! I guess time really DOES fly!!

Family Trip for Some Delayed Birthdays & Xmas!!
